Last Z Sync

Reads your research, tank, heroes, buildings and resources from the PC version of Last Z, so you can import them on My levels instead of typing them in.

You'll need

  • Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) or Windows 11.
  • The PC version of Last Z, installed where its installer puts it.
  • Administrator rights on the computer. Reading the game's network traffic needs them.

Capture your account

  1. Close Last Z if it's running, then open LastZSync.exe.
  2. Windows will probably say Windows protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway. It warns about any app that isn't code-signed and hasn't been downloaded widely, and this one is neither.
  3. When Windows asks whether to let the app make changes, click Yes.
  4. Press Capture from the game. Last Z opens; log in if it asks, then leave it alone until it has finished loading.
  5. Wait for the status to change to Saved. That usually takes under a minute after the game loads. Then you can close both.
  6. On My levels, press Choose state.json and pick Documents\LastZ Sync\latest\state.json.

Run it again whenever you want to update; each capture replaces state.json with the account that just logged in. To capture a second account, switch to it in the game and capture again.

What it does with your account

It only watches the game's own traffic while it logs in; it never sends anything to the game or anywhere else. Your login token and the email the account is linked to are removed before anything is saved, and everything is written to Documents\LastZ Sync on your computer. Nothing reaches this site until you import it.

If something goes wrong

Capture from the game is greyed out
It couldn't find Last Z at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Last Z\Last Z.exe. Install the PC version, or reinstall it to its default location.
It says packet capture needs administrator rights
It was started without them. Close it and open it again, and click Yes when Windows asks.
No account data in that capture
The game didn't log in while it was capturing, usually because it was already running. Close Last Z completely and capture again.
It waits for the game for a long time
It's waiting to see the game log in. If Last Z was already open before you pressed the button, close both and start again; otherwise check the game got past its login screen. It gives up after five minutes.
